Arizona Native and Content Creator Faithfully Serving Northern Arizona
My name is Derek-a.k.a., Alpine Art Guy- Northern Arizona Photographer & Content Creator. My mission is to serve Northern Arizona by capturing the unique perspective which comes from observing life through a lens-i.e., observing life more objectively. Interestingly enough, though, my passion is to take those "real" moment in time which I capture, and then toil to make them as close to one's "ideal" as possible. This is to say, it is my passion to capture objective moments lost, and then conform those images to one's own subjective desires. In sum, I suppose I like to see truth in time and then glamorize it... just because. Because? Because this world is not so plentiful with romance that we have enough of it; because when we add beauty as a supplement to truth, the true mosaic can best be seen! Where I Create
Mobile Studio
Having a wireless mobile studio provides me with the convenient ability of easily taking controlled conditions to my clients- i.e., key, fill, hair lights, etc. This is perfect for business professionals demanding pristine, competitive quality in their images. Not only do my clients have the ability to observe their faces and poses via an external monitor throughout their photoshoot (to help them get what they want), they also will be able to review quick edits of their mobile studio session before they leave, so that they can assist in the artistic process (to help them get what they want). Overall setup and takedown time is less than 15 minutes.
What I do
Photo Processing
Here I would like to show you some of my photo processing. Sometimes, you cannot see the difference between images you would capture on your phone from images shot in RAW (on a professional camera) without direct comparison of the editing. Why? Because images shot in RAW have infinitely more flexibility in post-production photo processing than images captured on your phone. What this simply means is, Enhanced photo processing can be done with images captured on the right device. What this means for the desired outcome is, you get better photos!
Below is a comparison of “before” and “after” photo editing and processing. On this image, I retouched the subject’s face, added background elements, and improved color brightness.
